About Us
Your Recovery Companion is operated by Integrative Therapy NQ (ABN 16 448 344 897), based in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us", "our").
These Terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the app. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we look after it. If anything here and the Privacy Policy seem to disagree about your personal information, the Privacy Policy applies.
For billing and legal enquiries, contact us at: integrativetherapynq@gmail.com
Who can use the app
The app is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, you're welcome to use it with a parent or guardian's consent and, where possible, with appropriate professional support. At sign-up we ask you to confirm this.
You're using the app for yourself. Your account is personal to you, so please don't share your login details with anyone else — including a family member or clinician. If you think someone else knows your password, change it in Settings and let us know.
Wellness disclaimer
Your Recovery Companion is a wellbeing support tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. It's designed to sit alongside — never replace — professional mental health care.
The app isn't monitored and doesn't watch over you. It can't see that you're struggling, and no one will check in on you if you stop using it. In an emergency, call 000, and for crisis support call Lifeline on 13 11 14 — details are on the Crisis support page in the app.
Your account
You keep control of your account. You can update your details, change your plan, download your information, or close your account at any time from Settings.
When you sign up, we record that you've read these Terms and our Privacy Policy, along with your age confirmation, so we can show you a version that matches the one you agreed to.
Plans and what's included
Your Recovery Companion is offered on the following plans:
- Free (no charge, no expiry, no credit card) — your safety plan and crisis resources, daily check-ins, trigger logging, and a selection of core coping practices and meditations. This includes eight practices available in full, plus one length each of three guided meditations (Safe Place Visualisation 15 minutes, Forest Refuge 15 minutes, and Inner Sanctuary 5 minutes). The rest of the library stays available on a paid plan.
- Standard — AUD $14.99 per month, or AUD $99.99 per year. Full access to the practice library, guided audio, AI reflections, body map, insights, and longer history views.
- Therapist Portal — AUD $34.99 per month, or AUD $299.99 per year, per clinician. Read-only client views accessed with a share code the client controls, plus private post-session notes.
What's included in each plan is described on the Choose what works for you page in the app, and may change as we add practices and features. Safety planning and crisis resources stay free for everyone.
Free trial
Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of full access. It begins the day you create your account and runs automatically — we don't ask for a card or any payment details to start it.
If you do nothing when the trial ends, your account simply moves to the Free plan. You are never charged automatically, and nothing you've entered is deleted: your check-ins, journal entries, safety plan and saved practices stay yours. Near the end of the trial we show you a gentle reminder in the app.
If you'd like to continue with paid access, you can choose a plan at any time from the pricing page — during the trial or afterwards.
Payment Processing — Stripe
Payments for subscriptions to Your Recovery Companion are processed by Stripe ("Stripe"), our payment provider. When you purchase a subscription, your payment details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
Stripe handles:
- Payment processing and receipts
- Subscription billing and renewals
- Refund processing and disputes
- Tax calculation, collection and remittance where required by law
Stripe's privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
A small number of earlier subscriptions were billed through Paddle while we moved to Stripe. If that's you, we'll tell you directly how your billing will continue, and the same refund and cancellation terms on this page apply.
Subscriptions and Billing
The plans and prices are set out above in Plans and what's included.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected at purchase) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date.
You can manage your plan — update your card, switch plans, view invoices, or cancel — from Settings → Your plan → Manage billing, which opens our payments partner's secure portal in a new tab.
Prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Stripe is responsible for calculating and collecting any applicable taxes.
These Terms don't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights to remedies when something we supply doesn't meet our consumer guarantees.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day refund period on all paid subscription purchases. If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the initial purchase or renewal date.
To request a refund, contact us at integrativetherapynq@gmail.com or reply to the receipt email you received at the time of purchase. Refunds are processed through Stripe and are typically returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
After the 30-day window, refunds are at our discretion and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at integrativetherapynq@gmail.com if you have a billing concern outside the standard window.
Refunds do not apply to partial billing periods after cancellation — your access continues until the end of the paid period.
AI features
Some parts of the app are written with help from artificial intelligence: weekly and monthly reflections, feedback about the coping practices you've tried, pattern insights, guided script text, and summaries a linked therapist may see.
These are automatically generated observations, not clinical advice or assessments. They may be incomplete or not quite right, and they don't replace a qualified professional. You decide what to make of them, and you can simply not use the AI features.
If anything an automated feature has produced about you doesn't sit right, ask us at integrativetherapynq@gmail.com and we'll review it by hand.
Content saved on your device
The "Save for offline" feature keeps a copy of a practice's text and audio in your browser on the device you're using, so it works without a connection. That copy lives on your device, not just with us — clearing your browser storage or using another device will remove it, and you can remove saved items in the app at any time.
Saved copies are for your own personal use, and remain our content as described under Content and Intellectual Property below.
Your content and your data
Anything you enter — check-ins, journal entries, reflections, trigger logs, safety plans — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of it, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.
You give us permission to store, display and process it only so we can provide the app to you, and to share it with a therapist or supporter you've deliberately connected. You can withdraw that by unlinking them.
You can download a copy of everything you've entered (Settings → Privacy & Security → Download my data) or permanently delete your account and your entries (Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete account). Deletion is final, so it's worth exporting first. Closing your account also cancels any active subscription so you won't be billed again.
Use of the App
Your Recovery Companion is designed as a self-guided wellness support tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, diagnosis, or crisis intervention.
By using the app, you agree to:
- Use it only for lawful, personal purposes
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the app
- Not use any feature that sends content to another person (such as therapist recommendations or shared notes) to harass, intimidate, or send harmful or abusive content
- Only connect or share with a therapist or supporter who has agreed to it, and only share information you're comfortable sharing
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Content and Intellectual Property
All content in Your Recovery Companion — including guided practices, journal prompts, and coping tools — is owned by or licensed to Integrative Therapy NQ. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.
We do grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own wellbeing while you have an account, including listening to saved audio offline on your own devices.
Therapist records
Notes written by a therapist in the Therapist Portal are that therapist's professional records. Therapists are responsible for meeting their own record-keeping obligations, which typically require retaining records for at least 7 years from the last entry (or, for clients under 18, until the client turns 25). Therapist notes are retained in the portal in line with these obligations and are not affected if a client deletes their entries or account. Entries a client creates in their own app remain under the client's control and are permanently deleted when the client deletes them.
A therapist's access is read-only and exists only while the client's share code is active. Clients can revoke access at any time, which rotates the code so it can't be reused. When a linked therapist opens a client's shared information, the app records the date it was last viewed so the client can see it on their Sharing screen.
Availability
We aim to keep the app available, but it's provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted access. Occasional maintenance, outages, and changes to hosting or third-party services can interrupt it. Content you've saved for offline use may help during a short interruption; it isn't a backup of your account, and it can be lost if your device or browser storage is cleared.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the app and close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these Terms, that's being used to harm or intimidate someone, or where we're required to by law.
If we suspend or end your account for a reason other than a serious breach, we'll tell you first wherever we reasonably can, and we'll give you a fair chance to download your information before it's removed, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Integrative Therapy NQ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the three months preceding the claim.
Complaints and concerns
If something isn't right — a billing issue, a privacy concern, or wording in the app that didn't sit well with you — please tell us at integrativetherapynq@gmail.com. We'll acknowledge your message and work through it with you. If we can't resolve it, you're free to raise it with a complaint body such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (for privacy matters) or your state or territory consumer affairs agency.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Where we operate
Your Recovery Companion is offered from Australia and is intended primarily for Australian residents. Crisis resources listed in the app are Australian services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
Other terms
If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we don't insist on a term on one occasion, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to rely on it later. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the app.
